2nd Annual Six Word Story Contest

SixWord StoryContest (2)

The Streetcar will be hosting our 2nd annual Six Word Story Contest on our Twitter account.  This contest will take place on Thursday, April 6th from 8am to 5pm, and it’s open to Mississippi State students, faculty, and staff.  The rules are simple Streetcar fans, it can ONLY be six words…emojis not included 🙂

On that day, from 8am until 5pm, anyone who wishes to participate will tweet at The Streetcar with their six word story and the hashtag #TSC6words. For the purposes of getting your tweets onto our page and counting votes once the contest is over, it’s important that you tweet them at us AND use the hashtag.  The number of retweets and likes you receive are the votes for your tweet. Retweets and likes count the same at one vote per each one. At 5pm, we will count up all of the likes and retweets for every submission, and whichever story has received the most will win the prize.  That means even if you don’t want to participate with your own story, you should get on our Twitter that day and vote by liking and/or retweeting any of the stories that you want to win.

We will give you more details about the prize we are going to give away as the week goes on, so stay tuned for updates on our social media.  If you have any questions about this event, you can find us on social media—we have a Facebook and a Twitter—or you can email us at: thestreetcarmsu@yahoo.com.

We’re excited to see what y’all can come up with in six words! If you need a little inspiration, check out the hashtag for last year’s contest—#TSCStreetTweet—or this six word story attributed to Hemingway himself: For sale: baby shoes, never worn.
